How does it work?

Scanlon’s Pick-up and Deliver platform allows you to schedule dry cleaning, laundry, and wash & fold delivery orders. We use a state of the art system developed over years of industry research. We have developed a CONTACTLESS SERVICE, and as a result, we have been able to enhance our efficiency to ensure that YOU reap the benefit of completely eliminating trips to the cleaners. All you need to do now is leave your order out before the defined starting window (9AM). When your order is scheduled, we will pick-up on the designated date, and return on the designated date. It’s that simple. Consider us sort of like your package delivery company.

What’s the process for first time customers?

First, use the links on our home page to create or access your account. Once you have filled in the necessary fields, you can tab to the “pick-up and delivery” tab and click “Request to be added to a route.” From there, our staff will assign your account to the appropriate route. Once this is done, you will receive an SMS & email welcoming you to our route. You are now ready to access your account and schedule orders.

Once you are added to our route, you will be prompted to opt-in to Scanlon’s Route Reminders. If you reply “yes” you will receive reminders the night before your route runs. It will ask you to reply “yes” if you have anything for us to pick up. If you reply “yes”, you do not have to do anything else. Your order will automatically be entered into our system. This is FAST. By design, we want to sort of work in the background of your life. We don’t want to be disruptive whatsoever to your daily life. Additionally, our system will automatically attempt to keep things going smoothly. If your CC expires or declines, you will receive SMS & email immediately with instructions to update so that there is no disruption of service.

Fees?

  • We charge a nominal pick-up and delivery fee of $3.95 per round-trip. This means the pick-up & delivery are only one fee of $3.95.

  • We charge a fee if we arrive and there are no clothes left out for the driver. You will get a notification the night before your pick-up as a reminder. If you do not have items, please cancel the order to avoid a fee. Our no-show fees are $20 so please make it a point to stay on top of your scheduled orders. We empower the customer to handle their account. Please be aware of this detail.

Wash & Fold has a 15 lb minimum. If the bag is less than 15 lbs, we will charge for 15 lbs.

Please allow at least one week for household items (Comforters, blankets, draperies, sheets, etc). Our system will not automatically bump our delivery date out for those items.

How you can help:

  • Please make sure your driveways and paths to your home are clear.

  • Please make sure limbs and shrubs are trimmed to allow for the size of delivery vehicles.

  • Please make sure your home and mailbox are clearly numbered.

    (Scanlon’s appreciates it, as well as other delivery companies and most importantly, emergency service providers. 911 reports that this can be the difference in potentially saving someone’s life.)

We prefer to not see you! (We mean that in the nicest way possible)

We have designed this to for ease and convenience! Please notate in the “delivery instructions” a good place for us to leave your items. You will be responsible for the safety of your laundry so please make sure you feel you’re leaving your items in a safe place. We have many trusting cusomers who have provided garage door codes, deck box lock combinations, etc. We can always conjure up a good place with your help!

​What if my driver is late?

We set a window of time between 9 am and 5:30 pm, however, weather, or an extraordinary amount of stops could cause our driver to arrive a little late.

Weather:

During the winter, we may occasionally have to cancel a day on the road. If this happens, we will send an SMS out and automatically reschedule that to the next available pick-up date. If the next available pick-up date does not work for you, please adjust this on your end.

​What does "Wash & Fold" mean?

It means you never have to do laundry again! Our cleaners will take your laundry, wash & dry it at our facility, and fold it for you before wrapping it in special packaging. No more waiting for your clothes at the laundromat or that dank room in your apartment building. You can turn your laundry room into a home office!

Quick notes/summary:

  • Scanlon’s is not responsible for items while on your property. Please ensure a safe spot for incoming and outgoing work.

  • We cannot guarantee any specific time window for arrival other than what is listed for the route (usually 9am - 5:30pm). Our routes are “on-demand” which simply means they are ever changing.

  • Please use the “Driver Instructions” section to note any specifics. Most specifically, if you have a desired spot for pick-up and delivery, use this. You can edit this as needed.

  • Fee: $3.95 round-trip

  • No-Show Fee: $20 if you confirm you have an order and nothing is left out.

  • Wash & Fold has a 15 lb minimum. We will charge for 15 lbs if the order weighs less.

  • Please allow at least one week for household items (Comforters, blankets, draperies, sheets, etc).
